Gets tricky though where there aren't good paths or the paths have been outgrown by other veggie plants. I'm sure you've seen the little garden wagon thing with a seat on it, right? They are extremely prolific at 3 pounds in 2 pickings of a ten foot single row! The flavor is delicious, and they turn a very dark green when cooked. Both the "Velour" and the "French Gourmet Green" beans, http://www.humeseeds.com/beanfr.htm, were planted very early, at the end of April, and survived temps in the high 30s and low 40s. My earliest planted Fortex are just now beginning to blossom.Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-43875423061926748102012-07-02T16:49:40.249-07:002012-07-02T16:49:40.249-07:00What an awesome harvest you have! I hear you on the bending and picking; I feel that way when I pick the strawberries. My first planted beans failed this year, for some reason they sprouted and only 10 plants made it. They are blossoming now. I reseeded the bed and the second batch made it, so I'll be a bit behind with beans this year.
