It wasn't me!", but she couldn't fool me. Just look at the dirt on her nose! I've never seen Otto dig a hole, ever. Annie has been known to chew up a piece of lettuce on occasion, but more like a toy than something to consume. But guess what she just loves....radishes! She always begs when I have fresh radishes, carrots or green beans, but she won't touch zucchini or yellow squash, cooked or raw.Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-68462463007016263742012-06-03T06:08:21.597-07:002012-06-03T06:08:21.597-07:00I love Annie's expression in the first picture...I love Annie's expression in the first picture, it's priceless. I can tell you're very loved. :) Pretty picture also. You look very healthy and happy and nice hairdo! I think you are really ROCKING the granny mode! I still can't remember your name is Carol. hahaha, even after mailing. heheh. I think the veggies are making you very healthy. Be good to your back and the usual gardener's sore spots though. Ergonomics in the garden at all times...if you remember. I tend to forget b/c I get really focussed or cannot reach things well. They might need their own blog or occasional words from the wieners? haaha Love your home, the dishwasher with dog on door reminds me of my cat who used to literally get IN the fridge when she was little looking for her food and crunching on the netting bags that veggies came in.
She's now happy just watching us cook dinner from the counter which prob grosses out many but she's insistant! We just try to keep her off the burners with a lot of shooing and covering of burners. She is smart enough to keep off of them but it freaks us out from time to time. Toby dog here, a shih tzu, is the owner of much of our house as well. Toby and Lulu kitty share a lot with us. They also let us clean up their vomit/hairballs and catboxes. yay. We are working on cleaning out the freezer also and then my mom (nicely) sent us a package from Omaha Steaks of chicken, steaks, burgers, etc. Now we are going to have limited space. I was eyeballing the stand up freezers at fred meyers the other day. They were $159.Not bad really. (alas I live in a tiny condo). I have a super abundance of lettuces too so going to pick some between the raindrops today and bring them by the foodbank b/c I feel like we won't use it all and we have been very lucky and have some new lettuce starts to go in next if these stop producing. I have a bunch of Tom Thumb lettuces that need to come out as whole heads. They're so cute! Those will leave spots for the new lettuces.fleurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02554331585975577821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-82669739059964120302012-06-01T13:26:59.602-07:002012-06-01T13:26:59.602-07:00Loretta, these babies are just 4 years old. They filled that hole in my heart that was left after our 12 year old Golden Lab passed away from cancer.

I refuse to let the weeds get ahead of me. I walk through the garden once a day, with hoe or long handled cultivator, and annihilate every weed that dares to show its face! It takes maybe 5-10 minutes a day at most. I was digging a bucket of Bermuda grass a day for a while, now the clumps that are left are too close to plants to dig, so I had to resort to using Eraser (glyphosate) very carefully on individual outbreaks. I have a bottomless plastic cup that I place over the offending clump of grass, then give it a spray. I've been doing this once a week for the past two weeks, I don't know if I'll be successful in controlling it or not.Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-57043124447227484232012-06-01T12:54:54.880-07:002012-06-01T12:54:54.880-07:00That's so sweet.
