We've had him for 8-1/2 years now. He's grown old and crotchety, and prefers to just stay in his cage now, but he used to be free to roam the entire house. We've lost a few light cords, and he's chewed his share of carpets, so I'm not unhappy that he now remains caged.

********
Thanks, Lorie. I'll give me about two weeks to have something green in that garden, if not sooner ;-)

********
Daphne, by the next grocery shopping trip, I'll have it ready for some green onions. And I already have a mix of lettuce seeds ready to go, just as soon as I get it weeded and smoothed out.

********
Kitsap, that's three of the five butternuts I brought with me. I had two more in the kitchen, but one of those was eaten for dinner tonight. It was really good with the pork roast and roasted potatoes that I cooked out on the barbecue grill...too darned hot in the kitchen! Yes, we have air conditioning, but it's just so nice outside I like to take advantage of it. I don't think we've run our AC here since the first year we moved in!

********
Erin, when there's work to be done, I do it. No sense putting it off ;-) I finally got a good 8 hour sleep last night.

********
Debbie, I don't think it's energy as much as it's the will and determination to get it done and over with!

********
Char, I do hope so. Things went slow today, because neighbors came visiting and we had to go into town for groceries. I hope to get more done tomorrow.

********
EG, even where we live down here, it's a half hour's drive to McDonalds! Heck, it's 30 miles to a grocery store!

********
Sarada, we came down in our motor home and lived here (at the RV park across the street) for several years before we bought this property. We've been wintering in Arizona since 1995.

********
Chelsea, all the cacti on the property were planted by me. There was nothing here but a bunch of creosote bushes and a nice oleander hedge, so I bought cacti or begged for starts from neighbors until I had them most of the way around the house. How do you remove them? Well, I don't, unless they die, and then I do it very carefully, LOL. The best way to plant or remove them is to wrap them in several layers of newspaper.

********
Kelly, do you really think I'd let something like a for sale sign keep me from planting something? Silly girl. Lettuce, spinach, onions and radishes will be in as soon as I can get the garden cleaned up.

********
Debiclegg, come sit with me, and have a tall glass of filtered ice water. We'll listen to the quiet, and let the cool breeze caress our faces.Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-37578151324443845112010-10-19T16:01:14.982-07:002010-10-19T16:01:14.982-07:00Granny, your porch looks so inviting.Granny, your porch looks so inviting.Debbie in MShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05297581188154833080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-89866958744372123852010-10-19T11:08:14.161-07:002010-10-19T11:08:14.161-07:00Auto accidents are so scary.
