It seems like it was something that sounded Mexican, like Ole' (but that's evidently not the name, according to a Google search).Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-55219914286963114652013-04-27T17:25:38.617-07:002013-04-27T17:25:38.617-07:00What is the name of the rose that smells like rasp...What is the name of the rose that smells like raspberries you have pictured? I have a bunch of garden clean out and clean up to do over the next several weeks. It will be sad to have you move South again for the next several months - hopefully you will have a better internet connection this year and we won't have to live without you so much. :D By the way, I waved at you as I drove past Ritzville heading to Spokane. I had my sister with me on this trip so I did not try to arrange a meet up with you. With my dad's passing this year, much of my trips have been either under emergency conditons or with other family members - so doing a meet with you just did not seem to work out. Hopefully we can manage to do that next year though.kitsapFGhttp://www.modernvictorygarden.com/apps/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-86129405227016989632010-09-27T09:01:06.886-07:002010-09-27T09:01:06.886-07:00Diane, our weather was so wonky this year. It just went back and forth like that all summer, so I think the plants just didn't know what to do!

********
Lorie, in past years I hated to have to start ripping things out in September, because the garden was always still lush and producing. Not this year!

********
Erin, I think the garden looks awful this year, except for the marigolds and herbs, and a few carrots. And those gorgeous blue morning glories I'm feasting my eyes on this morning. Oh, that one little tomato, Mini Gold, that I'd just love to take south with me. I've never grown such a beautiful tomato plant this late in the year. I just know it will die if I move the pot, I'm sure the roots must have grown out the drain holes and into the ground below :-(Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-60144475646240706622010-09-27T06:04:04.097-07:002010-09-27T06:04:04.097-07:00Everything still looks so good, hard to believe yo...Everything still looks so good, hard to believe you will be packing up soon, this summer did go by quickly!Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06916896512933101955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-80420624689612958622010-09-27T04:52:00.081-07:002010-09-27T04:52:00.081-07:00Your garden looks much like mine. I always seem to have some stray one here and there in the spring. Always a treat.

Lots to clean up this time of year. My pumpkin patch has yet to be cleared and soon the leftovers will have totally composted. I have got to get out there and do a serious clean out.Loriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05294056530885964319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-29884454117179767142010-09-27T01:50:34.513-07:002010-09-27T01:50:34.513-07:00It is strange, many people have not had a good yea...It is strange, many people have not had a good year for vegetables but I have had the best year I have ever had. Perhaps our sunny spot in France has just been a bit better than what others have had. We have been dry, but even with watering everything grew well. Carrots, onions, potatoes, raspberries. Even though some of the other stuff didn't grow as well this year, we still had more than enough of it. Oh, I do wish I'd had a few more yellow crookneck squash. I counted on a healthy volunteer for this year's supply, and it didn't give me very many. The plant was sure big and healthy though!

********
Ribbit, me too! I worry about the automatic sprinkler being hooked directly to the well pump. If that plastic would break, the pump would run constantly and the neighborhood would flood...and we'd have an electric bill to bankrupt us! That's why we decided to go back a bit early, and not wait until after the holidays. It can (and does) freeze down there, too.Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-77202133570439767442010-09-26T18:08:42.017-07:002010-09-26T18:08:42.017-07:00It's so sad to see things come to the season&#...It's so sad to see things come to the season's close, but boy did you get some major harvests! I can't say the same for me. I did however harvest 3 1/2 pound of mini bell peppers and 2 1/2 pounds of reg. size bell peppers today. They are very late to ripen but I had a much bigger harvest this year than last. I will need to freeze most of it :-)Liisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09106496040776722982noreply@blogger.com
