My problem is the kitchen counter, holding green peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers that need to have something done with them. I usually don't put them right in the frig because then they tend to get lost forever but they can't stay on the counter very long. Oh yeah, and one big ugly Armenian cucumber from my CSA that I don't know what the heck to do with. It's just sitting there as a conversation piece, as everyone who sees it says "what the *$(# is that?" Think I'll go home tonight and clean out the frig (and maybe then I'll take a picture).Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18289991277532328289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-2624161819355690212010-08-06T09:25:41.055-07:002010-08-06T09:25:41.055-07:00Granny, look at all the 'fraidy cats!Granny, look at all the 'fraidy cats!Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06916896512933101955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-9784129374937161102010-08-06T08:28:22.963-07:002010-08-06T08:28:22.963-07:00Meemsnyc, within the week, I'll be embarrassed...Meemsnyc, within the week, I'll be embarrassed to show mine, too. Erin's timing was just right, I can't often be caught with a neat refrigerator!

********
Momma_S, I only found one smelly thing while cleaning it. Mr. Granny had put a small sausage patty in a sandwich bag, and it had slipped behind the shelf and under the light. Oh, there was also the shriveled carrot. ;-)

********
Oh, Ribbit, you don't really think my fridge always looks that neat....silly girl. Maybe I should take a pic of the other side. Every time I open the door, the ice cream falls out.

I went out to the garden shed and borrowed all those plastic boxes. They are repurposed for the summer to hold the veggies. In the winter/spring, they are used to grow my seedlings.

********
Kitsap, doors were put on cupboards, pantries and refrigerators for a reason. They should only be opened, except by the owner, immediately after being cleaned. at all other times, they must remain closed. My refrigerator is only presentable once a month.Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-65037678383945730412010-08-06T06:01:46.922-07:002010-08-06T06:01:46.922-07:00Oddly enough I really don't have a stuffed fri...Oddly enough I really don't have a stuffed fridge - in fact, it tends to get rather bare at times because I don't keep much around by way of snacks or odds and ends - just basic cooking items and if I don't stay on top it, even that get's pretty scarce. Now my pantry, that is another story! It's packed with items.

At the moment the only surplus produce I have hanging around is a couple of zucchinis sitting on the kitchen counter. I have been taking them to people and giving away what we are not using. Sadly, the chickens have decided they do not like zucchini so it is not proving to be a good source of chicken feed like I had hoped.kitsapFGhttp://www.modernvictorygarden.com/apps/blog/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5597627580631284872.post-42445422011934370122010-08-06T02:12:27.943-07:002010-08-06T02:12:27.943-07:00But it's all stacked and beautiful in there.

I don't know why, I've just always done it. It seems like they get too hot and soft if I keep them in the garage, and there isn't another place that's roomy and dark enough in the kitchen.
