J...ZZ, beans corn and squash seeds keep for years. Just keep them until the proper planting time, which I doubt very much would be October or November. I would think, even in sunny California, you would want to plant them in the early spring. Many seeds will keep well for several years. Some, like carrots, lettuce and onions don't keep well. The packet has three Native American ladies on the cover. It says "The Three Sisters", and it also has squash and corn as well.<br /><br />Apparently, these three veggies go really well together.<br /><br />The only thing is, I probably won't be able to plant any of these until October or November.
