  1. Oh cool! Congrats Gran. Tomatoes in December, who would have thought?

Unfortunately, I won't be posting anything for Harvest Mondays. I'm hoping to harvest on Christmas eve and when the weather is a bit warmer this week.

  2. Thomas, I hope they taste good...I'll find out when I pick them tonight. I can't believe I'm growing tomatoes in December! Mr. H is so thrilled he's talking "maybe a greenhouse" in WA next year! If we come back down here, I'll definitely come armed with my own potted tomato plants, and more than two of them.

  7. Ok so you get tomatoes for dinner and I get a foot of snow? Hmm I guess it is my own fault. We could have moved to Tucson ages ago but I didn't want to.

Congrats on your tomatoes. I hope they are fabulous.

  9. Those ripe tomatoes look so cheery! The foil seems to have kicked them into high gear. I may try that on some of my greenhouse grown tomatoes next year.

  11. Kitsap, it seems to have solved the problem of the leaf miners, and also to speed up the ripening!

EG, you big Poopy Head. I have to grow patio varieties here, they have to be carried in every night and out every morning! I can see me lugging around a 10' tall Cherokee Purple, LOL
