  6. Such cute little ghouls! I wish I had trick or treaters for Halloween but sadly they won't come down my little dead end street. I figured when I moved into a more urban area I'd get to hand out candy, but nope. So sad.

  7. you guys are so scary that you scared me way over here in Virginia. Don't come by my house I would not be able to sleep all night. Hope you had fun and got a lot of candy.

  8. Good morning all. It's a good thing The Zombie Princess and Miss Bones came to trick-or-treat last night, as they were the only ones! That means Mr. Granny and I have to manage to consume the remainder of that $10 bag of Halloween candy all by ourselves. Alicyn had a dental checkup yesterday morning, and with not a single cavity her dentist gave her the go ahead, but told her to eat it all in one night and get it over with, LOL!

I hear you, Daphne. We used to get about a hundred kids when we were first married and couldn't hardly afford to buy all that candy. The past few years, in Arizona, we'd get maybe five or six. Here....none, zip, nada.

  10. I feel your pain, Gran. I spent all weekend raking the yard and I feel as though I hardly made a dent. There are so many oak and maple trees on or near our property. God love em but what a mess! Marc suggested we wait until the last leaf drops but it will be well into winter before that happens.

    1. Thomas, as I was raking all of those leaves, I kept looking at the neighbor's sycamore trees and seeing they were still loaded with leaves. They were just waiting for the next wind to bring them all into my yard! I worry more about the branches. Her trees are huge and old and never trimmed, so we get a lot of quite large branches and big limbs that break off.
