October 11, 2011 - Thank You

I want to thank all of you who sent such heartfelt condolences over the death of Cookie. Having so many wonderful friends, even though we've never even met, means a lot to me and helps lessen the pain of the loss of a loved fur baby.

  1. Oh AG -I'm so sorry! I've been busy with the grandson-haven't been on for a couple days and didn't know.
    Hugs to you!

  2. Lots of people have come to know not just you and your garden... but Mr. Granny, Your neighbor Pat, your kids and grandkids, Annie, Otto, and of course Cookie ... all through your blog. Your loss is in part ours too as a result. Amazing how connected we can become through just the written word and some pictures.

  4. Granny, so sorry about Cookie. Yes, cats kill rabbits and not just feral cats. I once had a beautiful, all black cat named Pepper, that loved to sit on my lap and be petted, played with our dog and was as domesticated as a cat can be. But... he was an inside/outside cat and when he was outside he was, unfortunately, a natural born killer. Birds, ground squirrels, snakes, moles, mice and rabbits, sometimes as big as him, were deposited on the front porch. Fortunatly (as far as I know)he never killed any neighbors pet. Animals are animals, no matter how much we think of them as anything else.

  5. I have found the thoughts and feelings put onto a blog can be very cathartic. It is rather interesting how we can have friends we've never met, and enjoy the back and forth of the family and "goings on" of each of our friends. I wish you all the best.
