I call them Daddyisms.

I said "My tailbone just feels raw!"

Mr. Granny heard "I need a heated bra."

  1. He might have something there, a heated bra for winter! Too funny!

Hope your tailbone feels unraw soon.

    1. I bought an inflatable donut today. That should take care of it. Bed sores (or in my case, chair sores) can be nasty to deal with.

    1. Lynda, I found that funny, but when he mishears me a hundred times a day, it can get frustrating!

    1. YES, Alison. But don't tell him that. He'll just deny it!

    2. Most men would, wouldn't they! That was too funny Granny!!! I have a donut for my bum spine. They work wonderfully! xoxo

    3. Tammy, mine is not working well. It holds my coccyx up off the chair, but it makes the surrounding butt area really sore. I'd think a foam rubber ring would be more comfortable than that hard, inflated plastic.

    4. Did you try deflating it slightly? I have a foam pad in my car. You can purchase one at any chiropractors office. The design has a cut out which allows your spine to drop. It is easier on your tooshie than the inflatable one. Big, big hugs...

    5. This one came defective. The plug won't plug and the stem won't push in. I was desperate, so Amy blew it up to capacity, then duct taped it thoroughly! I'll try to find a foam rubber one.

  4. That is TOO funny!!

Reminds me of a client I once had at the office. He was an older gentleman, in need of a hearing aid, but instead, he always cupped his hand to his ear and said "PARDON?".

So one day, he comes in to drop off a document we needed. The conversation goes like this:

    "Do you want a copy?"
    "PARDON?"
    "Do you want a copy??"
    "PARDON?"
"Copy! Do you want a COPY?!"
"Oh, no thanks I had a cup this morning!".

  6. Sounds familiar. Took me forever to convince the hubby to have his eyes checked. He finally did and got glasses. Now he needs his hearing checked... ;-)

  8. We used to have Muskovy ducks and one couple loved to creep by in their car several times a day to watch them waddle down to the pond. One day we were outside and they stopped to ask my husband what they were. He told them Muskovy ducks. "What?" they asked back several times. He finally shortened it to just "ducks" as he shouted (literally) to them. At last they grew frustrated with his silly attempts at communication and asked, "Are you sure they aren't some kind of duck? They look just like ducks." HUGE eye roll!

  10. My husband has hearing aids. They sit in a drawer, where they've been for the better part of 7 years. He tried them for a while but hated them.

Tailbone pain is really unpleasant. I don't know what I did to mine, but sometimes it's terribly painful. I flew cross-country at Thanksgiving and then again a few weeks later and I could barely sit anymore, and then I could barely stand up after sitting on the plane for so long. I took a nap for quite a while on the plane with my head in my own lap, just because it relieved the pressure a little bit. I may have also sat on my neck pillow during that nap.

    I hope you find a really good pillow. {{{hugs}}}

    1. Amy, daughter Shannon is purchasing hearing aids right now. She's had hearing problems for years, and finally decided the time was right.

I got the coccyx cushion! It feels great.

  11. Here's an idea-may sound crazy-but you never know.
Get one of those padded toilet seats. (About $12 at Walmart)
Remove all the hardware, leaving just the cushioned seat.

Good luck, hope you feel better.
You have enough to deal with and certainly don't need to add back-side pain to the list.

    Happy Easter Sweetie!
    Take Care and God Bless.
