I was asking Daphne if it bothers her to pull mature crops from her garden, after so carefully planning how they would look when planted in a pretty design. She said it doesn't really bother her, but I always hesitate to ruin the patterns of my garden.
I've been harvesting outer leaves of the first four rows in the lettuce bed, but the pretty Little Gem Romaine lettuce in the back row just begs to be picked and served whole.
I don't like empty spaces in my rows.
Luckily, I have about a hundred small seedlings ready and waiting to fill in the blanks.
