Jody, Annie was on my lap but got booted off so I could set up the camera for the photo! I only have like 15 seconds to get from the camera to the chair, not enough time to lift Miss Piggy back up ;-)
W had a snow day here yesterday and are doing a delayed start today (noon) because we have freezing rain coming down at the moment. I just hope the power stays on and the warm up happens fairly quickly. I don't mind the winter weather so much as the having to travel about it in to get to work and back etc.
By the way, just did a quick read to catch up on your recent posts - the counters look gorgeous!
I never would have thought you could rush that fast, looks to me like somebody caught you napping :o)..you sure are a good advertisement for resting weary bones.:o)
When I saw the photo, I thought to myself, "Finally, Granny is caught sitting and doing nothing!" I should have known better. Of course YOU set up the camera, raced back to your chair, and posed.
Granny, you drive that Lazy Boy like a pro (else you've got cruise control on that model!). LOL It's in the teens here, snow on the ground and more to come. I'm gonna fire up the old rocker and take 'er for a spin, too. Stay cozy.
Ha ha! Looks like you're mighty comfy there. All you need now are a few grandkids making forts out of blankets and chairs, and some hot chocolate for everybody. Enjoy! ~~Lori
Wendy, that fireplace is the love of my life this winter! It wasn't always that way. As a wood burning fireplace it was dirty and we'd have to turn the heat pump off so the smoke wouldn't roll out and through the house to the cold air return. It was only warm when sitting on the hearth. We put in the insert, and now a flip of the switch gives us instant propane flames, a fan to spread the lovely instant warmth, and no mess at all. I have an ugly propane tank outside, but it's out of sight, out of mind.
To all: Once I got through running around taking the photo, I did get Annie onto my lap and spent the rest of the evening relaxing in front of the fire. I really do take time off every now and then ;-)
LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
What a softie you are.
I'd put you on a snowmobile or a pair of ski's
Enjoy the day
Now, that's my style. Except that the room is all orderly. The floor here is a mass of choo-choo tracks.
ReplyDeleteHope you got to sit there a long, long time.
Annie's al that's missing in an otherwise perfect picture.

You are too much! Boy, I wish it would snow here!
ReplyDeleteOh boy! Stay cozy and warm. I hope the hype of the storm being "the heaviest snowfall in decades" doesn't come true.
ReplyDeletePerfect! Grab a book and let is snow....!

ReplyDeleteGinny, there's no end to my talents ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh man, looks like you are living the life!
ReplyDeleteCan I come camp out in front of your fireplace? I will pay rent!
Heck yes, Prairie Cat! We could toast our buns and plan our gardens at the same time....wouldn't it be fun? I wouldn't even charge you to do it :-)
ReplyDeleteWaiting for our snowy blast too. I'm grinding sausage! - Stay warm!

ReplyDeleteWe keep getting one or two inches and it melts before the next tiny snow. And you deserve to rest after all that work in the kitchen.
