My goodness, he is a big guy. I felt like a midget standing next to him! And he's just as nice as he is big. We had a good time, strolling through the garden, playing with the sprinklers and sitting on the patio until it got too hot outside. We talked a mile a minute, and I was sorry he had to leave as early as he did, but he had to drive quite a way back to his motel. If he gets back to this area again, I hope he can at least stay for dinner. I hate to send people out on the road with an empty stomach!
That tallest corn behind Greg is six feet high!
Annie was slow to warm up to him, but finally gave in to his charms.
I'm very glad you could spend the afternoon with us, Greg. I hope you're able to return real soon....you know Granny will have cold beer and warm cinnamon rolls waiting for you ;-)
Cold beer? And cinnamon rolls?? Heck, I'd visit you too!

Sue...no spinach :-(
Delete1st and I happen to enjoy cold beer and rolls as well!

Lisa, now I've met three fellow bloggers in person, Greg, Kitsap and DaBeardedOne (who no longer blogs, darn it).
DeleteHopefully, I'll get to visit someday.......
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be fun! At least you got to "visit" via cell phone.

ReplyDeleteHopefully I'll get to meet my bestest cyber friend some day!
Oh, I do hope so Robin!
DeleteI am so happy to see two fellow blogging friends meet. So glad you had such a nice visit.
ReplyDeleteRachel, it's too bad we can't have a garden bloggers' convention and meet everyone!
DeleteI may trek across the nation for warm cinnamon rolls! How nice to meet a fellow blogger. Maybe someday...
ReplyDeleteOh, Langela, I'm sure your freshly ground wheat makes better cinnamon rolls than I could even dream about! But don't let that stop you....trek on!
DeleteIt is amazing the "Virtual friends" we make in the blogging community...how wonderful to meet in person!
ReplyDeletePatricia, yes it is! And it's amazing how close we all become. I consider so many of my blogging acquaintances to be true friends, as though we've known each other, personally, for years. Some who have stopped blogging are missed so very much.
DeleteI appreciated your hospitality earlier today, Granny. I could have eaten the entire pan of cinnamon rolls with a 1/2 gallon of milk! They were fabulous! Also, I enjoyed strolling through your beautiful garden, too!
ReplyDeleteDarn it, Greg, I had a fresh gallon of milk in the fridge. You should have asked!
DeleteI enjoyed our visit immensely. I hope you can come back again and stay longer. Have a safe flight home.
How fun is that??!? Yay that the blogging world has so many awesome people. Glad you both enjoyed it. That's neat. I'm jeaous of Greg!!! I want to meet Granny!!! Someday....someday.... :-)
ReplyDelete1st. Man, will you swing by and pick up Stay @ Home on your way? :-D

ReplyDeleteKitsap, he sure is! He's an extremely nice drink of water, too ;-)
DeleteWhat a great opportunity! Now I know you are in Pasco watch out - what a small world, we have a family friend there! If we ever get our big road trip vacation we have 2 families to stop in and visit with :)
ReplyDeleteCool beans, Erin! I'd love to meet you in person!
DeleteThat is awesome. We all chat so much online about gardens. What a treat to be able to talk in person.
ReplyDeleteGardener on Sherlock, it is awesome, isn't it!
DeleteHow nice to meet a fellow garden blogger in person! And cinnamon buns??? What a great visit! Wish I weren't on the opposite coast!
