October 14, 2010: Dogs in the Hood (ies)

Never let it be said I spoil my dogs. A dog is a dog, and should be treated as such. None of that pampering and petting goes on in my house.

Well, OK, maybe just a little bit.

Otto and Annie are ready to travel, in their Old Navy hoodies!

I swear I can hear EG giggling from here!

  1. Oh, dear! Is that embarrassment I see? Annie's looking like, "Really, Mom? Really? Otto, don't look at me like that! You've got one on too!"

  2. Lori, Annie is saying "Do these stripes make my butt look fat?" Otto is saying "Just let me die. Now."

  3. Awwww, Granny this is way too cute. My husband said he was embarrassed for them. I think it's adorable.

  6. Oh those poor dogs! LOL, I am knitting Sprocket a jacket and I can just see hubby's face when he gets home.... what long-haired Australian Shepherd needs a JACKET? But she'll be sooooo cute! hahahaha

  7. They are both clearly doing the dog eye roll! The things a pup must put up with to get some fresh garden beans and peppers. :D

  10. Tell Otto that I think he looks like a little gangster with the hood on and his name tag showing...tough and cool you know. That will cheer him up.:)

  11. Meems, these husbands just don't understand, do they? Mr. Granny says "You're NOT going to make them wear those things".

Sue, I thought Otto looked cute in his little turquoise hoodie, but Annie kind of looks like a big pink sausage. Her's was originally way too large (the size must have been mis-marked), so I had to make it smaller....I may have made it a bit tight, but she is on a diet.

    Erin, you are soooo me!

Daphne, I'll bet he giggles. I think he's an old softie, who just tries to fool people into thinking he's a tough redneck.

Kitsap, I think Annie actually enjoyed her hoodie. Otto didn't fight at all when I put his on, either.

Barbie, those two love attention, no matter how they have to get it. They didn't mind their hoodies at all, but were perplexed when I kept yelling "Stop!" so I could get some photos.

Haha, TIG. I didn't buy the hoodies, my daughter did. But then, she's the same girl who drives a Hyundai, so you have to consider the source ;-)

Mr. H., Otto is adorable in his hoodie, just sweet little Otto. Not a tough bone in his body. That's not saying he doesn't like putting on a show, like he does toward the neighbor dog. He sounds absolutely vicious when they meet at the wood fence, where they can't see each other. The dog got in our yard one day, and Otto just looked at him, turned around and walked into the house like it was no big deal.
