Haha! That's cute! I always have to find my little Ami in the morning as she is always tucked in a blankie some where! Time for doggie sweaters I suppose!
I love how they can pick things out without being able to see them. Our dog does that, too. I bet those poor puppies get cold in the winter.
That is adorable. Dinner in bed sounds pretty good to me.
He is very busy to enjoy the meal, but seems like it is not quick enough to eat what he like!?
Homemade chicken and green beans for dinner, and dinner in bed? Could your dog be any more spoiled? ;-)
Apple Pie Gal, no sweaters here. They have Old Navy hoodies ;-)********Ribbit, do you really think I'd let them get cold in the winter? Nooooo. I drive them 1200 miles to spend the winter where it's warm.********Char, me too. I've never had the luxury, but Annie is "speshul" LOL!********Scented Leaf, oh yes, he eats what he likes very quickly! It's the other stuff that gets put on the floor and eaten as a last resort.********Thyme2, spoiled? You think they are spoiled? Oh, those are home grown, organic, freshly picked green beans being served with their roasted chicken thighs.I love my little dogs :-)
I always tell my husband that I want daschunds. Reading about your dogs just wants to make me get one so much!
Roast chicken and green beans, served in bed?Woof!
Lovely photos, they look like they are going to be particularly warm this winter. Diane
That is what I need to do now. I need to eat wrapped up in a blanket. We haven't turned the heat on yet, and though it hasn't gotten down that far yet, it feels like it. I'm used to hot weather.
Too cute, laughing over their winter home- does Mr. Granny know it is really just for the dogs? Lol. Safe travels AG!!
Those dogs are living the high life! It's been quite chill here in the mornings for the past two days - makes me want to eat breakfast in bed too! :D
"Dinner in bed", I love it.:) You do feed them some good stuff now don't you.
Meemsnyc, get two...you won't regret it ;-) Except for the barking. My goodness, my two have turned into bark-bark-barkers lately.********TIG, I do tend to spoil them. Did the same with my kids.********Diane, they snuggle under their blankets even in the heat of summer. It can be hot as Hades in the house, and they'll be wrapped up tight in their blankets! I think it's a trait of the Dachshund breed.********Daphne, our heat is running this morning, it's only 45F outside right now. You need to get yourself a Snuggie!********Kelly, sure he does! He even built the fence around the AZ front yard to keep them safe. Heck, he's the one who built up a platform behind the seats in the Ranger, so they could see out the windows as we're traveling! ********Kitsap, me too! I think I'll just go ahead and rip out the rest of the garden this week. Nothing is ripening with these cold nights/mornings.********Mr. H, I used to feed them better when they were pups (brown rice, chicken, vegetables, powdered egg shell for calcium), because of all the pet food recalls. It has just been recently that I've added a bit of dry dog food to their meals. Even as careful as I am with their diets, they are both overweight....Annie is quite obese. I think it's a matter of lazy dogs belonging to old people. They just don't get enough exercise. Otto is much more active than Annie, he doesn't demand dinner in bed ;-) Actually, neither does Annie, that's why it was so funny when I put the dish down by the lump in the blanket, and only a nose poked out and began eating.
One day! I'll have one. They are my favorite dogs. re: canning jars, it's been hard for me to find them in NYC. I guess not many people can around here. We don't have Walmarts... And I've never seen them at the grocery store or Target. The only place I have seen them is at this local hardware store and they sell them for $9 / case. They don't even sell them at Lowes or Home Depot here. (Sigh.)
Awww that is too precious... I want little doggies hiding around my house!! There's no lumps in our blankets... more like mountains!! But It's hard to hid when your 11 week old pup is already 30lbs!
You little ones are adorable.
Now that brought a smile.
Vanessa, those blanket lumps are precious. There are two lumps under blankets right now, and when they hear their names, the blankets go "thump, thump" as the little tails wag underneath! Haha, my tubby girl got weighed today, and she's 30 pounds! That's about double what she should weigh.********Thanks Kelli and Lorie, I think they are adorable, too.********Meredehuit, Annie and Otto have a way of doing that to people. Especially their two people!
