Gorgeous harvests. And you have butternuts. Mine are starting to ripen up in one bed, but the later planted bed is still forming fruits. I hope they have time.
Oh, my, Daphne. Do I ever have butternuts! I suppose I could begin harvesting them in earnest soon. It's always a bit difficult to figure out the exact right time. We've already eaten one, and it was good, but it could have stayed in the garden a couple more weeks. Two others were accidental harvests, and two more were in danger of being hit with the mower. I have them curing outside, so I think they will sweeten up just fine.
Nutmeg, I'm sure going to miss those melons! I probably ate at least half of them by myself. Looks like I'll have to go to the farm stand to buy a few now.
That is a very nice harvest and here it is September! Nice butternuts! You and Mr. Granny should be very healthy with all these home grown things! Nancy
Quite a few people have butternuts. They must be popular. Your harvest looks yummy, I really like summer when I can grow lots of beans. I just planted some short season ones I hope will be ready before frosts.
Great harvest! I like your simple recap! Looks nice!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shawn Ann.

ReplyDeleteThere will be some good eats this winter!
