April 29, 2009: Humor Me

It doesn't take a lot to entertain the elderly.....me.

Today was another dreary, gardeningless day. Yes, gardeningless is my new word. I don't care if spell checker doesn't like it, it describes my day perfectly. So I just played with the computer most of the day, and out of boredom made a little video for all of you to enjoy. Or not. I figured if EG could show a video of himself playing with his dog, then I could show a video of my boy-dog trying to bury his bone under his blanket. Really, it's only about 40 seconds long....it just seems to last an eternity!

Otter and the Bone

Gosh, I hope the sun shines tomorrow.

  1. That's funny. I wonder if he is wondering why a hole is not forming.

We have either had a sunny day followed by a rainy day or sunny cool days. Pretty much spring weather. I usually go out in the rain as long as it is not to cold out.

  3. Well the video gave me a good laugh! Thankfully he was not really successful in "digging" in your bed. ;)

Sending you wishes for some better weather and time in the garden.

  5. Just like our daughter's dog (not in appearance) trying to hide a bone or biscuit - most recently when visiting us, trying to nose a biscuit under my woolen gardening socks!

  6. Nice dog Granny, every time I see him, it brings back memories of Talburhorst. Also great music.

  9. That was incredible. The boy asked me to play it over and over for him. He cheered every time the puppy got the bone.

  11. Otto isn't the brightest star in the sky, but he's the sweetest little dog ever. He obsessed over that bone! I think he actually hated it, and he tried his darndest to get rid of it. We'd find it under sofa pillows, or buried behind the sofa cushions or under the bed. He finally took it outside, and we haven't seen it since. I'll bet it's buried in a flower garden.

  12. LOL! That was cute. Silly puppy.
Sorry about your weather, but I'd be more than happy to trade our 90+ temps and wind for your cold an rainy any time...
Neither one of them are any fun to garden in.

Now I know why my dog's nose is dirty sometimes.

  14. Wait! You have spellcheck?!!!!!!!!! How do I get me some of that? hehe. Cute video. Love those dogs. And he's so bright too! hehe

Hope he and you had fun yesterday. And hopefully the beautiful weather over here will blow over and shine on you over those pesky mountains!

  15. Sinfonian, just use Mozilla Firefox as your web browser. You can set it to check spelling...and with all the crumbs in my keyboard, I need it! I need to clean it out, as I have to keep reentering my m, and now my e!

We got glorious, sunny weather yesterday and I worked my rear end off!
