October 28, 2009: Mr. Fixit

Mr. H had an extension cord that had been accidentally cut, then repaired with electrical tape. Upon my insistence, yesterday he picked up a new end for it and today he did a lovely job of repairing it properly for my safety and his.

But.....

Uh....what's wrong with this picture?

  3. Maureen, Daphne, Kelli Ann and EG...

Not to worry, we noticed the error before any damage was done! The plug has been removed, and returned to the package for exchanging the next time we go to town. I can't blame him exclusively....I looked at the cord and wrote down "grounded plug" on the list! I didn't notice we had the wrong end until it was on the cord!

I want you all to know our toilets do NOT flush backwards since he installed the new innards. ;-)

  11. Perhaps a new cord is in order... one of those fancy new fangled ones that has two different kinds of ends?! ;D

  14. Thanks for the laugh! A few years ago I was putting up ceiling hooks for hanging plants. I was using a really bad extension cord and when I pulled it over the hanging chains it shorted out and sent sparks everywhere. Pretty exciting!

  15. Mr. H thinks anything can be fixed with duct tape or electrical tape, but he found a sizzled cord while cutting down that palo verde tree last week, so a "real" repair was in order. Unfortunately....well, that story was already told ;-)
