He: "Night".
Me: "No, it's it's morning, I can read the clock."
He: "It's 4:30 in the afternoon."
Me: "NO! I went to bed last night, and I was sleeping so well!"
Well, he finally convinced me, I think, LOL!
My little corner of the world.
I'm finding it a bit difficult to adjust to so much sitting, but tire so easily that this is where I spend most of my time now. The lawn chair, with the extra cushion and sturdy arms, makes it easier to get up and down from the chair. TV and laptop help save my sanity.
Scott (youngest son), Kris and grandson Kevin, came bearing gifts last night. A comfy, summer weight sweatsuit, some stretchy yoga pants, two stretchy shirts and a lovely pot of spring tulips.
Daughter Shannon took me to the hospital for another MRI. When we got back home, she began putting more pre-cooked meals in the freezer. We kept the ham and scalloped potatoes out for tonights dinner. Or was that this mornings breakfast? I'll get it all straightened out. Eventually.
ahahaha that had me laughing granny! john and i both commented that we had a great night's sleep last night too! glad to hear you are resting and being showered with gifts. ps your corner of the world looks so sweet, clean and cozy!
ReplyDeletePretty cozy, Kelli, But I'd rather be outside gardening.
DeleteSounds like you really need, and got, good rest! And what an awesome bounty from Scott and family? Beautiful tulips!
ReplyDeleteKeep telling Mike I want a TV here in the office for marathon gaming sessions (that, sadly, nevah happen anymore) but, so far, it's just talk. Sweet setup, especially with the USB mouse. Have the hardest time doing anything on Mike or Jax's laptop ... I'm either trying to touch the screen or reaching for my mouse. Haha.
Ranni, I don't like touchpads or touch screens. I'm only comfortable with my wireless mouse.
DeleteIt can be whatever time of day or night you want. :-) I love your setup with the computer, tv, comfy chair, etc. Is that where the magic happens?
ReplyDeleteThose tulips are so pretty. Makes me wish I had grown some this year. I guess I'll have to wait until the fall.
Heck yes, 1st. Man! But Mr. Granny asked why it would be daylight at 4:30 AM. Duh...the lights were on :-)
DeleteNothing gets by you, Carol. :)
DeleteI'm glad you got some good sleep. I've fallen asleep at an unusual time and woken up extremely confused before- in fact I did it Tuesday. I had taken the dog for his cancer recheck and I had to drop him off quite early. I came home and I ended up falling asleep for about an hour, when I woke up in a major panic. I looked at the clock and thought I had missed taking him to his appointment. I had already flown across the room to get the phone to call and see if I could still bring him in (over 2 hours late) when I remembered I had already taken him. Yeah, I was in fine shape that morning, lol!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Amy! Sounds like something I'd do.
DeleteNow that would be a good sleep. Wow!
ReplyDeleteSue, it would have been better if I'd had another hour.
DeleteShannon is so nice to make all those meals for you. And that was a long sleep. Did you get to sleep the next night? Or was your schedule all messed up after that?
ReplyDeleteDaphne, that was yesterday afternoon. Then I went back to bed at 8:30 (PM!) and slept until 6 this morning! I'm feeling quite refreshed :-)
DeleteYour tulips are beautiful! Once I was sick and I slept for 24 hours...couldn't believe I lost a whole day, that was years ago and I've yet to catch up!
ReplyDeleteLynda, I hope I'm caught up! If not, I guess I'll nap. At least I got out of cleaning up the kitchen last night. Mr. Granny did good!
DeleteSince you're all set up there, I'm expecting plenty of posts to your blog . . . that is, when you're not sleeping :-)
ReplyDeleteDianefaith, have you noticed the frequent posts lately? That comes from boredom, but I'm afraid I'll run out of material!
DeleteYour flowers are beautiful! I use to have tulips in my yard, but the squirrels run away with most of them!:-) Good to see you are up and getting around. I have been out in the garden the past 3 weeks that I don't get to my computer too much to read blogs, so good to stop by and see you are feeling a bit better and blogging again:-)
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful, Robbie. All of my tulips in the yard are an early red variety.
DeleteGood for you getting a good nights sleep! I got very little sleep last night (somebody who shall remain nameless was snoring A LOT) and hope to make up for it tonight.
ReplyDeleteAnke, I got even more sleep than I thought. Mr. Granny said I went to bed at 7 last night, not 8:30, so from 6 yesterday morning until 6 this morning, I got at least 13 hours of sleep. I think it was a combination of the double surgery (biopsy and port implant) with general anesthesia on Tuesday, and the MRI with dye injections yesterday. Whatever it was, I was absolutely zapped! I'm feeling much better today.
DeleteI've been out of the loop since February, now that I'm all caught up, my prayers are with you! So many people really love and support you. You are truly blessed. By the way, could you share some of that long sleep with me. I could use a few extra hours myself!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the prayers, Jody. And yes, I'd be happy to share. Here ya go.......
DeleteZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Sounds like you really needed the rest Granny. So glad you got some! Even though I get enough hours of sleep every night, I STILL feel tired! I think I'll snatch a few of those "ZZZs" ... hehe. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHere's some for you, Tammy.

I have to be careful not to give them all away :-)
