June 6, 2009: Mini Post

Between garden shed and graduation, it's been pretty busy around here. I just wanted to bring to your attention the fact that tonight, with 4 ounces of strawberries and 8 ounces of onions, my 2009 harvest just went over 20 pounds!

Bigger blog and photos tomorrow.

  2. WOOOOOW, you are amazing!! And it's still only June! I envied your big spinach so much I went out and bought more seeds today for another batch :) I'm planning to sow them in pots and keep them somewhere partially shaded to keep them from bolting. Hope it works!

  4. Cynthia, my late planted spinach was great last year, but I planted it on Aug. 21 and began picking it 29 days later. It kept bearing until I left for AZ the end of October and was still growing when I returned the following March. That fall spinach didn't get attacked by leaf miners, either.
